Overview

The HVAC Field Supervisor is responsible for managing a team of HVAC technicians, ensuring the efficient and timely completion service, maintenance, and repair projects. This role oversees all aspects of the HVAC field service operations, including scheduling, quality control, safety compliance, and customer satisfaction.

 

Responsibilities

  • Supervise and lead a team of HVAC technicians, providing guidance, support, and training as needed.
  • Assign tasks and projects to team members, ensuring optimal utilization of resources.
  • Conduct performance evaluations and provide feedback to team members to foster continuous improvement.
  • Coordinate with Department Service Manager and Dispatch to plan and schedule HVAC service, maintenance, and repair calls.
  • Ensure that projects are completed on time, within budget, and in accordance with relevant codes and regulations.
  • Implement quality control measures to ensure that HVAC systems meet industry standards and specifications.
  • Conduct inspections and quality checks on completed work to verify compliance with customer requirements.
  • Identify areas for improvement and implement corrective actions as necessary to enhance overall quality and customer satisfaction.
  • Enforce safety protocols and procedures to minimize the risk of accidents and injuries on job sites.
  • Liaise with customers to understand their HVAC needs and expectations and ensure that services are delivered accordingly.
  • Address customer inquiries, concerns, and complaints in a timely and professional manner, striving to achieve high levels of satisfaction.
  • Maintain accurate records of inventory transactions and update inventory systems as needed.

Qualifications

  • Five (5) proven experience in HVAC, maintenance, and repair, with at least 1 year in a supervisory role or as a lead technician.
  • Proficiency in interpreting HVAC blueprints, schematics, and technical manuals.
  • Strong team-building skills, with the ability to motivate and empower team members.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities with a customer-focused approach.
  • In-depth knowledge of HVAC systems, equipment, and components, as well as relevant codes and regulations.
  • Demonstrated problem-solving skills and the ability to make sound decisions under pressure.
  • Must have an EPA Universal certification.
  • Valid driver's license and clean driving record.
